Hello all, I'm Tiffany. I love creating & giving new life to no longer wanted books and turning them into something great! I make folded books, 3d books, custom pieces as well as digital download patterns for you to make your own book art.
I enjoy making art this way for many reasons. The most important is it is fun! Reusing an item in a different way brings a completely new life to something that would otherwise be discarded. Secondly, it requires focus to make the correct marks, cuts and folds on the books. Third, you do not need a lot of items to complete a project. Last but not least, you can get lost in the folding just like you can in a good book!
I choose to make my art out of secondhand books because it is important to me as a mother to help reuse things and have them not end up in the trash. I want to teach my children that discarded items can be used to make something new! I collect all of my books from thrift stores, estate sales, and library resale shops right here in my community. I always make sure every book is in good repair before using it for a project.
